After handling both at Sportsman's I can see that the Tikka fit and finish was superior to the Howa. I totally get why people think that. Currently I have a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoore as my hunting rifle and it works fine. My only major gripe like many before me is the stock. Now that Magpul has a hunter version out finally, this would fix the issue, but at 3 pounds it seemingly would make the rifle a bit on the heavy side for lugging around in the mountains. 81.
