I have a 30-06 and a 280 AI and if it were me I would consider one of those two cartridges. There is no dust on the 30-06 and it is a performer on game. Same to be said for my 280 AI. If I were to chose between the rounds, I would go for the 6.5-'06 Ackley because dies are easier to obtain and the choice of brass (.25-06) is far superior.
