To be honest I wouldn't even use rivers of blood anymore, I'm currently dual handing the godskin peeler and twined knight swords, both + 20-ish with sepuku on both, and they shred anything that bleeds. Even at full upgrade, it's only able to do a fraction of a weapon with functioning scaling. I use it on a low level char, the weapon art seems really good for bleeding.
