I recently bought my wife a Ruger Security-9 for protection. When I first inspected it, I found it was really hard to get the slide stop to set, but was told it would loosen up with firing, and slingshot worked fine. After about 300 rounds, it's easier to set the slide stop. But the problem is the slide "locks out" on last round.Kinda unbalanced with the short 10 round mag; kinda unbalanced the other way with the 17 rounder. The Security 9 is, to me, a fine compromise for size and balance. If you like the feel in your hand of a Glock 19, you'll probably like the Security 9. And the price is right.
