I was convinced I had already ovulated - temping, app etc, but they kept flashing smileys so we kept going! Turns out they were right!

You're supposed to use it once around maybe CD6 to get a baseline for estrogen. Then if you used it a couple days before ovulation, you'd get the blinking smiley because your estrogen was higher than the first time.
