Honestly with KotoR I never saw the 'reveal' coming and it hit me for six when it did, but made perfect sense which is the best kind of twist, plus i loved the character of bastilla. Kotor 2 seemed such a let down in comaprison, but everybody raved about it. Just felt I was missing something.
