rear right wheel speed sensor wire got clipped by something on the road the other day triggering VDC OFF SLIP and ABS lights so I ordered a new one from eBay (direct fit) and replaced it just today. After replacing the wheel speed sensor 4x4 will engage when I start the x but the VDC OFF light stays on and the ABS and SLIP lights both turn off ... Ok. It sounds like there is either a problem with one of the cam sensors or the crank sensor. If you have a problem or code for either of these sensors, it will cause the symptoms you have and also the VDC will be disabled. This will indeed cause the stalling issue you are seeing. The P0420 code means there is an issuie with the catalytic converter on bank 1. This can cause stalling, but in most cases won't.
