I read where you need to remove the differential cover....and that the fluid is so thick it takes hours to refill. I bought the Cub Cadet HiTran fluid from one of the sponsors here. It is like ATF fluid and not thick at all. Muffler is a used muffler from a John Deere lawn tractor (STX38 if I remember right) with a vertical shaft Kohler Command single cylinder, modified to fit. Galvanized sheet steel muffler box. You will also need a relay wired like this to run the ignition since the Command is magneto ignition and the 782 is battery ignition. B.Cub Cadet's I have are (1) IH 782 for pulling Trailer, (1) CCC 1711 GT with 44" Mower (1) CCC 2284 SGT with 60" Mower and (1) CCC 1864 SGT with 50" Mower. With a zero turn you need both hands on the steering levers. But the zero turn mows about twice as fast as the Cub Cadet tractor.

Hey Guys, I may be a little dense here but from what I can figure when you mount the rear lift bar for the sleeve hitch on an early 782 this does not allow for any float of the rear implement? The empty hole in the pic is the only place I can see that the bar will mount, and this seems to be a fixed to the cylinder position. or Best Offer. To keep the same overall height you will need to use a lower profile tire with a larger diameter wheel - wider is fine, lower profile will make it ride much worse.
